1. Report illegal content
Anyone can tell us about content on RankBid they believe is illegal, for example fraud, scams, counterfeit goods, malware, or content that breaks consumer or data protection law.
Send your report by email to support@rankbid.click with the subject “Illegal content report”. Please include:
- the exact link(s) to the content;
- why you believe it is illegal, with enough detail for us to understand without a legal review;
- your name and email, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material, which you may report anonymously;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.
We will confirm receipt, review your report promptly and objectively, and tell you what we decided. Where we used automated tools in handling it, we will say so.
2. Report copyright infringement (DMCA)
If you believe content on RankBid infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent:
[Agent name], [postal address], [phone], email: support@rankbid.click. This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (registration number [number]).
Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the work you claim is infringed;
- the content on RankBid you claim infringes it, with its link;
- your contact details;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Counter-notice. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with:
- your signature and contact details;
- the content removed and where it appeared;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We may restore the content within 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers. We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
3. What happens after we act
If we remove or restrict your content, suspend your account, or remove votes because of a report or our own review, we will send you a statement of reasons. It will say:
- what we did, and whether it applies everywhere or only in some places;
- the facts we relied on, and whether it came from a report or our own check;
- whether we used automated means;
- the law or rule involved;
- how you can challenge it.
4. Appeals
You can appeal any decision within 6 months by replying to our notice or emailing support@rankbid.click with “Appeal” in the subject. A person will review your appeal, and we will reverse our decision if it was wrong. EU users may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or go to court.
5. Misuse of this process
We may stop handling reports from people who often send clearly unfounded reports, and may suspend users who often post clearly illegal content, after a warning.
